August 2022
In August, Finlay achieved a distinction in his Grade 8 Snare Drum exam - an excellent result!
Mark Jon Bolderson Scholarship
July 2022
In July, 2022, Finlay took part in the Mark Jon Bolderson scholarship competition, performing on both Drum Kit and Tuned percussion. He was lucky enough to win first place, which led to some amazingly generous prizes, including a face to face consultation with the wonderful Dame Evelyn Glennie!
Grade 5 Music Theory
June 2021
In June, Finlay achieved a distinction in his Grade 5 Music Theory exam - an excellent result!
Southern Percussion Competition
April 2021
In Winter-Spring of 2021, Finlay took part in the Southern Percussion International Tuned Percussion competition - an amazing experience, competing against many great percussionists. Unfortunately, he didn't win but his performance earned him some wonderful comments from the judges:

Grade 8's on Drum Kit and Tuned Percussion
March - April 2021
In March and April of 2021, Finlay achieved his Grade 8 on Drum Kit and Tuned Percussion respectively, achieving a Distinction in both with 100% on his Drum Kit Exam!
